Terms of service

By accessing, registering an account, or using any service on the HonTruyen platform at hontruyen.com (hereinafter referred to as the "Platform"), the User confirms having read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all the terms specified below. If the User does not agree with any terms, please stop using the Platform immediately.

• "Nền tảng" "Platform" refers to the website system, application, and related services operating at the domain hontruyen.com.
• "Chủ sở hữu Nền tảng" "Platform Owner" refers to the business individual operating HonTruyen, legally responsible for all activities of the Platform.
• "Người dùng" "User" refers to any individual or organization accessing or using the Platform, including readers and authors who post content.
• "Nội dung do Người dùng đăng tải" "User Generated Content" (UGC) refers to all text, images, literary works, and other materials that the User actively uploads to the Platform.
• "Dịch vụ" "Services" include: reading novels, uploading creative works, using the GenAI writing assistant, VIP subscriptions, and other features added over time.

HonTruyen operates under an intermediary platform model providing content hosting and sharing services, complying with Article 26 of the Information Technology Law 2006, Decree 72/2013/ND-CP, and relevant intermediary service regulations.

Content voluntarily uploaded by Users is the sole responsibility of that User. HonTruyen acts as a technical infrastructure provider, not as the author, co-author, or copyright owner of UGC content.

Note: For content directly uploaded by the HonTruyen Administration, HonTruyen is responsible for ensuring full legal rights to publish such content.

• Users must be at least 13 years old. Users under 18 years old need the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
• Account registration information must be truthful, accurate, and updated in a timely manner.
• Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and all activities arising from their accounts.
• Each individual is only allowed to register one account. Creating multiple accounts to bypass regulations is a violation of these Terms.

Users are not allowed to upload, share, or distribute any content that:

• Violates copyrights, related rights, or any intellectual property rights of a third party;
• Is copied from other sources without valid permission from the copyright owner;
• Contains pornographic, violent, hate speech, racist content, or violates fine customs and traditions;
• Distorts, defames, slanders individuals, organizations, or state agencies;
• Contains malware, spyware, or any harmful components to the system.

By uploading content, the User represents and warrants that:

• The User is the original author of the work or has full legal rights to upload and license it under Article 5;
• The upload does not violate any third-party rights, including copyrights, personal rights, or privacy rights;
• The User is fully legally responsible and will indemnify for all damages arising from violating content uploaded by themselves, including legal costs incurred by HonTruyen.

• First violation: Warning and removal of violating content;
• Second violation: Temporary account suspension from 7 to 30 days;
• Third violation or more: Permanent account suspension and reservation of rights to claim damages.

HonTruyen reserves the right to handle immediately without warning for serious violations.

HonTruyen is not responsible for: (i) content unauthorizedly uploaded by Users; (ii) indirect damages arising from using the Platform; (iii) service disruptions due to technical incidents beyond control.

HonTruyen reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Notifications will be sent via registered email at least 07 days prior to taking effect. Continuing to use the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by Vietnamese law. Any arising dispute will first be resolved through negotiation. If negotiation fails, the dispute will be brought to a competent People's Court in Vietnam for resolution.
